OOC rules>>
#1. We expect all of our members to act maturely and appropriately while OOC. No harassing, cursing, with the exceptions of 'damn' and 'shit'. If you do not abide by these limitations, you will be warned accordingly.
#2. As I understand that you will want to have no rules for spelling and grammar OOC, you must try your best not to type in extreme chatspeak. Unless you really don't want to be understood and recieve a warning, please use correct spelling on at least the smallest words (u, r, b, 2, 4, etc) Things like 'LOL' 'OMG' 'BRB' and so forth are allowed.
#3. While OOC, we expect that no one will spill any secrets of one certain alliance to another. For example, no telling the plans of another pack, or even hinting a battles. This goes for PM's, too, and if we catch you in any of these acts, you will be punished.
#4. If your character has developed a grudge or some sort of hatred against another character, we ask that you do not carry the grudge through to OOC. It is not necessary and there is an obvious difference between IC and OOC, so please note that. Scripting out your character's grudge while OOC is allowed, and that will be the only exception to this rule, as long as it is not meant other than in the script.
#5. When posting an image within the boards, you must make sure that it complies with the ProBoards Terms of Service. This means that it must not hotlink, it must not contain sexual/racist references and - as an add on to their TOS - should not stretch the boards. Any images that do stretch the boards will be reduced to a link, and any player found posting inappropriate images will be banned without hesitation and reported.
#6. Once accepted by a staff member, a member must post IC within a week, or else they will be facing the risk of deletion. If you know you will not be able to comply to the time limit, please post in the absense thread or PM a staff member.
#7. We understand that you do have a personal life (we do, too) and that you may not have the time to post, but please try your best to stick to your commitment. If you think that you are not going to be able to continue through with the roleplay, please either PM a staff member or post in the absense thread.
IC Rules>>
#1. Moons Wolf Den is a litterate / Advanced roleplay site. We expect all of our members to post a minimum of one paragraph that moves forward. That means about five to eight detailed sentences that accomplish something in the roleplay.
#2. Instant relationships are not allowed on MWD, which means that your character cannot develop a relationship with another the first or second time they meet. Yes, they are allowed to think that perhaps the other is cute, but nothing too serious at the first sight.
#3. Mating is allowed, and it can be forced, which means that as long as both the characters players are okay with it, a character can mate against their will. Grahpic mating is okay, just try to keep it limited. If you really want to do this graphically, PM the roleplay back and forth, or suggest a graphic mating board. (This will only be added if someone will use it; other than that, we are not planning on having one)
#4. While IC, swearing is allowed, but please do not use excess cursing. As you are responsible and mature members, we are allowing you the priviledge to use such language, but if you are, however, not mature enough to know when to stop, you will be treated as such. Certain words are not allowed, however, such as 'fuck', 'bitch', and 'crap', IC and OOC. Please try to find some other kind of solution, otherwise you can post it, and the censored words will change them to our versions.
#5. Moons Wolf Den has a form of money, called Dracs. By posting IC, your character will earn 1 Drac piece, which can be used to purchase items from Yurie, or trade with other characters IC.
#6. Fighting and arguments can break out at any time, and while this is allowed, we do not want to see it carry over to the OOC mode. (see #4 of OOC rules) IC, almost any kind of reaction is allowed, either jumping at the chance to fight, or backing out.
#7. Members of Moons Wolf Den are mature enough to know not to powerplay, autohit, script, and/or godmodel. If you don't know what any of these mean, read the following:
Autohitting is a term that's not often used by Roleplayers, as it's really just a type of Powerplaying. Autohitting is sometimes overlooked, but always unwelcome. Really, don't do it.
Simply, it's when you decide whether an attack on another character hits or not. It's solely up to the person Roleplaying the attacked character whether they got hit or not, though remember you can't dodge every hit.
Powerplaying is where you take control of another's character, by accident or design. Often it involves shoving others to the ground, but it includes anything that says the other person's character has done something. You may, however, powerplay characters that have not been created. Meaning, you can kill characters and be hurt by characters that have not actually been created and played yet.
Godmodeling is when you say your character is all-powerful or make them do things impossible, like surviving an assault against a thousand wolves or surviving a bullet to the brain. They are not perfect; and it's okay to lose fights sometimes. Saying your character is larger or stronger than the other one is not okay, though it can be forgiven if that's just your character thinking.
Scripting is a type of roleplaying, used mostly by non-literate rolepalyers. It is when you say what your character did, rather than showing. One pretty good trick to help you avoid it would be to roleplay in the past tense (ie. she did, he laughed) other than in the present (ie. she does, he laughs). Scripting is also used OOC, as a form of saying -comically- what your character thinks, or how they react to comething (mind you, it had no effect whatsoever on IC status)
#8. There is only one way to get powers, and those are limited: making a character that is Silphted. Your character has to be accepted by a staff member as a Silphted, and be sure you know what you're getting in to.
#9. You cannot have more than seven characters that you create or adopt yourself, plus three more that are given to you. This means that you have the right to create or adopt seven characters, max. 'Given' characters are just that; a character that another player is giving to you to roleplay. Say, for example, that two characters mated and had a litter of pups. The mother character of the litter would assign all the pups to different members to be roleplayed. More than one can be assigned to a member, though you should really give a chance to others aswell. So no more than 10 charries, tops. If you want to have another character but can't becuase of the limits, PM Astar and we'll talk it over.
Consequences>>
At the first two offences you participate in, you will recieve a Warning from a Staff member and it will be added to your account notes, as well as a fill of 5 in your Warning Meter. After two Warnings, the following acts will be followed:
Minor Warning- Offences such as light harassment, spamming, improper use of swearing, IC posts that do not meet the required needs, etc., will get you a Minor Warning, resulting in a 20 fill of your warning meter, a third warning, and minus one Karma.
Medium Warning- Offences such as harassment, disobeying a Staff member's instructions, or continual Minor Offences after being punished will get you a 30 fill of the warning meter, a fourth warning, and minus two Karma. On top of that, your account will be suspended for one day.
Major Warning- Offences such as posting inappropriate images, ignoring a Staff member's instruction even after Warned, continual Harassment or Spamming will get you a Major Offence, resulting in a 40 fill of your Warning Meter, a fifth Warning, and minus two Karma. On top of that, your account will be suspended for two days.
This adds up to five Warnings, and your Warning meter is filled up to 100. If one more act of Offence is taken, your account will be deleted, with a Warning 24 hours in advance for you to round up your characters out of their roleplays and say goodbye, etc.
We really don't expect any of our members to ever reach the point where we have to take such acts, but you have been warned of what to expect if you ever do commit any of the listed Offences.
