--- Details: Ixy’s lean build is more for running than fighting. Her fur is dominantly silver and dark grey with some white on her underside. She’s fairly agile and swift. She has semi-long legs and a thin, narrow torso. [refer to picture] Ixy’s pads are charcoal and she loves hunting because of her light foot.
Ixy can be somewhat timid but she's naturally curious. She likes to explore and chase things. When she crosses the path of another she is shy at first but warms up easily if they are friendly.History:
The older she gets, the more motherly and affectionate she gets. Ixy's always one to take care of others and protect them from harm, especially young ones. She takes in cubs and pups and raises them as her own. She's strong enough to be a leader, but doesn't thirst for blood or crave power. She uses her better judgement to make decisions, especially when it comes to the safety and well being of others.
Ixy was her parents only cub; her mother being very sick could only keep one. The rest didn't survive. Ixy and her father worked together to take care of her mother, but it was to no avail. She passed away when Ix was just over a pup. She stayed with her father for a bit more, but he was never the same. He spent most of his days lolling around, not wanting to do much of anything. She took care of him best she could, but he became very sad and mournful.IC:
One evening, as she was coming back from her hunt, she found her father laying at the bank of the river. She trodded up to him, quietly in case he was actually finally sleeping. “Ix?” he mumbled, not bothering to move. “Yes, it’s me” She replied, “I didn’t bring anything back though.” Her voice was sad, although her father had lost all emotion she still hated to feel like she’d disappoint him. “It doesn’t matter anymore” he stated flatly. “Nothing matters without your mother.” Ixy nudged him gently as she sat down next to him. “She wouldn’t want to see you like this. You know how happy she always was, even though she was sick.” He turned to her, slowly and with what seemed like a great effort. “But your not happy. You spend all your time caring for me and staying put at my side. That’s not what she would have wanted either.” Ix was shocked by her fathers words. “In a few days, I want you to go. Go out into the forests and don’t come back. You’re meant for more than this, sitting here taking care of an old wolf like me” he finished, almost with a smile. This was almost like the father she knew. “I want to go out and see new placess and do new things, but I want you to be okay…” she studied him, “will you be okay?” He nodded. “I know this is what she would want” he comforted her. She agreed, and explained that she wanted to spend a few more days with him.
A week later she left, promising him she’d visit back within the year.
The winds swept over the lands, taking the remaining fallen leaves with them. A storm was blowing in, completely ruining the almost perfect summer conditions. Amongst the swirls of leaves, a young wolf tumbled into new lands. She also being swept away from her familiarities. This place was new, but not so much strange. Its outward apearance like any other. Forest. But she was young, and had recently discovered that when it came to survival, being alone was tough.Other:
What now? she wondered. There was no mother, no father... only her. A silver speck trapped inside these large woods. These thoughts did not bring her comfort as she came across something familiar, a scent. There were others here, but none that she knew. Clearly this was a border, more than likely of a smaller pack since she didn't detect strong multiple scents.
Perfect! she thought excitedly as she threw back her muzzle in a howl. Beings herself nor her family (that she knew of, especially not after she was born) had been in a pack, she wasn't really sure how these things worked. However it seemed like a good idea to ask permission before crossing into anothers path. She sat back on her haunches, taking in the landscape around her. Hopefully they're friendly...
