Rose-brown paws thudded gently down upon the Earth, and each time landing they left the sweet remnant of a pawprint that Reika like to call a memory. She stopped for a moment, and looked upwards to the path laid in front of her. She had been trudging along into practically nowhere all day long. She wouldn't have been surprised if she had fallen into a hole. It wouldn't really matter, since currently life had little meaning to her.
Anyhow, what caused her to actually lift her head from the endless trek was the climate change. It was suddenly becoming more humid rather rapidly. It was not too much of a drastic change, at least. displayed in front of her eyes , just about one hundred yards length from her current position was a setup of crumbled rock and what seemed to be an old mountain. Though the slight heat told her that it was not a Mountain, but a volcano. She used her left front plated leg to feel the Earth's vibrations as normal. She found it easy to do this, since the plating helped detect movement most likely more than her own eyes could see. Ntohing seemed out of the ordinary. Reika-Lyra's guess was that the vocano was dormant. If it was dead, or extinct, there wouldn't be that much heat, or relatively none at all.
Realizing she had gotten lost in thoughts and detecting at her small stop, Reik quickly hurried foward. It was safety first for herself. The last thing she wanted to be very close to was an active volcano, or anything hot as that for a fact. The maker of her arour had warned her to stay away from extreme heat, because the steel plating would simply melt down. Who would want to see her flesh anyhow? Except a wolf's predator... They would juts love that. Fresh, open skin... it made Reika look half dead.
"Stupid power plant... stupid radiation... Stupid skin! Why don't you grow!?" Reika barked angrily, and blindly snapped her jaws at her left side. She was greeted with her teeth crashing into her hard steel plating. Sometimes her fury blinded her sanity... It was hard to be a silphted. She was on a harsh road. Reika was stuck on a broken road... and there had never been anyone there for her...

i learned the hard way that they all say things you want to hear your twisted words your help just hurts no easy way to say this
a figure appeared among the rocky mountain. a blurred figure who stood an watching. inanimate, it just observed. watching among the horizon, it caught eye of something. it seemed to be a creature much like herself. odd changes, cause by radiation. steel plates attached to skin. oddly enough, she felt a sort of relation, or kinship with this particular creature. possibly because their lives both were altered in such mutation. makoce herself was affected, having become so water creature whom was half a fox. although she didn't even know this wolf, there was still a connection.
but, it was not of her nature to greet her. she was shy, much too shy to go up to any creature. instead, she decided to watch. i mean, she wasn't even sure if a wolf would accept such an odd creature like herself. plus, they were of two species.
as makoce continued on, observing and watching the wolf, she felt a slight disgust. the lava which boiled beneath her, dried her fur and skin. the hot intensity of the heat, felt like cracked and hurt skin. her fur needed to be wet no matter what. like a fish needing water to swim and thrive, or oxygen to breathe every so often. this was partially true for her. makoce's fur was similar, it needed water to live and be healthy. but, in the worst of situations, her fur collected the vapor in the air if badly needed. it was like being a cloud stuck on earth's surface. collecting water, and moving around, then leaving it behind when saturated.
makoce looked back the the volcano pit, how it crumbled the mountain. then, back to reika. half of her was of steel plating, the other half pure skin and fur. she had never seen such a thing happened, but was unsure of all causes from radiation. so far, she only knew of herself as affected, unaware of all the others who suffered. the world brought dread upon them. sober and a sigh of sadness. tears and suffering. few were lucky, and were able to avoid being changed. but, the rest were changed some physically and emotionally. it was indeed hard being silphted, and all silphted would agree. sure, there were some good thing here and there, but it was still a dramatic change to go through.

Reika-Lyra's ears flickered up. Had she heard something? Something that was not steam hissing from cracks in the earth, or heated lav a bubbling beneath her? The rosy female pivted her ears around, swearing she could hear the faint breathing of some creature. She haulted yet again, and lifted her head, her maw pointed at the ash sky. Reika sniffed the air carefully.
If the smells of the old volcano's char, silt, and boiling liquid lava hadn't overwhelmed Reika, she may have scented the stranger fox befeore spotting her. Reika turned, and saw a strane foxlike creature. She was a silphted... Like Reika.
Reika shook her head in disagreement with her head thoughts. I am like no other... She would never understand me... would she? Reika thought vack doubtfully, taking another glance to the female. Finally, something tugged at her. Normally, Reika was rather ant-social, but something... something pulled her closer to the fox, until she was only a few tail lengths away from the stranger.
"How long have you been watching me?" Reika spoke to the fea fox, however her voice did not carry the hostility that it normally did. She almost even smiled, but she held it back.

makoce watched the female wolf. she hesitated to turn over and look. she sort of trembled as she did so. then as she looked over, a voice came. with a faint, and slightly unnoticed smile. makoce listened to her words as she looked into the female's eyes. this wolf also seemed troubled, much like makoce. being sliphted was hard and depressing. there seemed a sadness in her eyes, but a slight rejoice to have found one like herself.
pausing for a moment to listen and decided what to say, she began moving her mouth.
just observing....pondering through my mind
makoce looked over to the sky, she didn't talk much either...it was really not her thing. rather gestures and such. then, looking down she felt the urge of the lava. wanting to burst through a trapped seal. the rocks that crumbled blocked the passage. but, it saved the plants and newly sprouted trees from being destroyed once more. not to mention how much more misunderstood she was after the incident of the power plant.
sure, it came with new abilities..but it wasn't easy. life was hard, and no one accepted you...well, at least not the normal ones. there was a kinship sort of, when with sliphted whom go through similar problems. which made her comfortable around this wolf. it was still very strange, she never felt such an urge to talk to one.

OOC: mind if i join your rp?
IC: Kumori observed the talk between the two silphted wolves from the sky, just out of sight of them. She too was also silphted but she saw her mutations as a gift rather than a curse. Kumori looked at the wolf with plates on half of her body, "I bet she's silphted too." she thought. Kumori soon came to the conclusion that both wolves were silphted...and that both hated it. 'Ahwell...rogue or clan, they may be able to help me.' she told herself.
Kumori folded her beautiful black wings close to her body as she began a dive with lightening speed. The warm air rushing through her fur felt good, even though it was starting to get hot. 10 feet from the ground Kumori opened her wings with a sudden snapping sound. As she gracefully landed she spoke, "Anyone know where I can find a small village? Even one human will do." The usual extreme hatred was gone from her voice and what was left was a little coldness and wariness. Kumori kept both wolf and fox in her vision and was ready to fly at a seconds notice, just in case these animals were not friendly to her. She didnt expecct them to be friendly though. After all, this was the first time she had seen them let alone talk to them.
